Description

Wharton Creek flows into Lake Chad at the west end and drains the Suess Glacier. The stream primarily runs along the base of the glacier and flows across a sandy delta into the lake. The stream length provided is for the reach at the base that is away from the glacier and includes the delta. Stream length: 1 km.

 

Environmental data

Hydrological, biological, chemical, and physical property measurements have been made for a number of McMurdo Dry Valley streams and lakes.
