Length: 23-40µm
Width: 2-3,5µm
Striae: 10-12 fibulae in 10µm

Description:

Valves lanceolate with apiculate ends (L 23-40µm, W 2-3,5µm, 10-12 fibulae in 10µm). Raphe keel very eccentric with evenly spaced fibulae, the middle two sometimes a little bit more spaced than the others. Each fibula lies at the origin of at least two striae with a third placed between these two striae. Transapical striae quite visible in LM, 19-24 in 10µm.

Notes:

Only recorded in soil sample BA105, taken from some cliffs near the coastline. It is possible that it is a marine taxon, although no matching taxa have been found in the literature.Distr. So far, only found on Ile de la Possession.
