Description:
Valves narrow linear-lanceolate with long, apiculate ends (L 33-60µm, W 3-4µm, 13-16 fibulae in 10µm). Fibulae in the middle equidistantly placed. Transapical striae not resolvable in LM.

Fairly common in both mosses and freshwater habitats. Sample W550, a slightly acid lake with low spec. conductance value) yielded almost 99% of this taxon.
