Length: 30-40µm
Width: 4-4,5µm
Striae: 10-11 fibulae in 10µm

Description:

Valves elliptical-lanceolate with broadly to even obtusely rounded ends (L 30 40µm, W 4-4,5µm, 10-11 fibulae in 10µm). Fibulae in the middle equidistantly placed. Transapical striae weakly resolvable in LM, ± 35 in 10µm.

Notes:

Mostly found in mosses, although rare. Prefers wet, terrestrial mosses. Records in freshwater samples and soils are very scarce.First record for the entire (Sub-)Antarctic Region.
