Width: 2-2,5µm
Striae: 16-18 fibulae in 10µm

Description:

Valves lanceolate with cuneately rounded, narrow ends (L 16-30µm, W 2-2,5µm, 16-18 fibulae in 10µm). Fibulae rather regularly spaced, even the two in the middle. Transapical striae not resolvable in LM, >45 in 10µm).

Notes:

Common in wet terrestrial mosses (F-value III) and small, slightly acid pools. Mostly found in the area around Baie de La Pérouse.First record for the entire (Sub-)Antarctic Region.
