Length: 12-14µm
Width: 3-4µm
Striae: ±35 striae in 10µm

Description:

Valves linear with parallel margins and broadly rounded ends (L 12-14µm, W 3 4µm, ±35 striae in 10µm). Axial area very narrow, linear. Central area absent. Raphe filiform with enlarged central pores. Terminal fissures deflected. Transapical striae parallel, very hard to resolve in LM.

Notes:

Only found in one soil sample (BA061), taken from a small, non-vegetated cave in the Pointe Basse Region. The sample was dominated by taxa preferring more brackish conditions. Unfortunately, no measurements have been made.So far only found on Ile de la Possession.
