Description:

Valves linear with undulated margins, concave in the median part. Poles subcapitate and rounded, smaller than the undulations (L 8-13µm, W 2-3µm, 36-40(?) striae in 10µm). Axial area narrow, linear. Central area rounded, reaching almost the valve margins. Transapical striae radiate in the middle, parallel near the poles, only visible with oblique light. Raphe terminations T-shaped with the distal endings behind the last striae.

Notes:

Regularly found in low abundances in slightly acid, relatively wet soil samples with higher chloride and nitrogen concentrations.
