Striae: 16 striae in 10µm

Description:

Valves elliptical-lanceolate with bluntly rounded apices (L 30µm, W 8µm, 16 striae in 10µm). Axial area narrow, linear, central area transversely elliptical, ± symmetrical. Raphe straight, filiform with clearly marked central pores, gently bent towards the distaff side. Transapical striae strongly radiate near the central area, convergent towards the apices. In the middle part, several shorter striae are present.

Only found two times. No clear ecological data present.So far not recorded in the (Sub-)Antarctic Region.
