Description:

Valves margins are linear and expanded at mid-valve from rounded to almost gibbous. Valve ends are somewhat rostrate and bluntly rounded. Raphe is straight. Proximal raphe ends are slightly deflected unilaterally. A distinct stigma is present, opposite the side to which the proximal raphe is deflected. Striae are radiate throughout the valve. Striae are widely spaced in the central valve, becoming more dense toward the valve ends. A central area is present, which varies in shape from expanded to irregular.
